• What is Practicum 451?
  • A psych majors’ opportunity to get some applied hands on experience.
    • 3 prerequisites: Abnormal Psychology (247), Personality Psychology (246) OR Social Psychology (264), and Intro to Theories of Counseling (450)
      • 450 needs social or personality
    • 120 hours of service within the community
    • Find your own sites
      • “job hunt from hell”
      • Multiple areas you can intern: hospitals, schools, non-profits, and communities
  • Group supervision – 12 – 15 individuals for one hour per week
    • Treated as a graduate school class
    • Talk about ethical dilemmas and theories
